Legislation

WC4WD supports and facilitates many projects throughout the year.  We are dedicated to respecting and protecting our valuable natural resources as well as promoting responsible land usage in both the public and private sectors.

We work in close cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), state agencies in various regions and private land owners to expand off road opportunities and OHV trail conservation in Wisconsin. Our Coalition has formal representation at the Governors State Trails Council meetings as well as attend Wisconsin public hearings regarding OHV legislation. WC4WD monitors national organizations and provide recommendations to combat various issues facing OHV legislation.

The WC4WD member clubs contribute significant man-hours each year on projects. Our member clubs work on projects at many locations throughout Wisconsin. Each of these projects encompass working with land use agencies, local government agencies and land owners to facilitate responsible land usage and OHV trail conservation.

For this reason we are pleased to support the Clean Trail Grant program offered by Extreme Terrain. This program will provide eligible groups the opportunity to apply for a grant to fund their next trail improvement related project, which could range from trail clean-up, trail restoration, trail expansion, to name a few.
